From next season, our association Nova Geração Capoeira Grenoble intends to affiliate with the Fédération Sportive et Culturelle de France (FSCF), in which capoeira is officially represented.
This affiliation responds to recurring requests from local authorities and partners. It would strengthen our association’s standing and recognition, while bringing several practical benefits:
- Administrative, legal and organisational support.
- Access to training for teachers and leaders.
- Exchanges with other capoeira academies.
- Access to grants and calls for projects.
In particular, it would enable us to apply for grants from the Ville de Grenoble for which our association is eligible, but which it has so far been unable to access without federation affiliation. This funding could support our events, visiting teachers, the purchase of equipment and instruments, training for our teachers and our work with children and young people.
Affiliation does, however, bring new costs: a federation membership fee and compulsory licences for members and officers. Changes to our fees will cover these additional expenses.
This increase therefore does not reflect a rise in the price of the classes themselves. It is a collective investment designed to give our members better protection, make our operations more professional and support the long-term development of NGCG’s projects.
