A day to celebrate women in capoeira and Afro-Brazilian culture! Through this event, we celebrate all the women who “live within us”. This image of transmission, collective strength and axé is what Geração Capoeira Grenoble wants to share with you. Because while these are their struggles (Lutas Delas), this is an energy that brings everyone together (Axé de Todos). 🌿

On 14 March, Geração Capoeira Grenoble presents LUTAS DELAS, Axé de todos, a vibrant event dedicated to the power of women in Afro-Brazilian culture.
More than a celebration, this day is a tribute to all the women who “live within us”.
Through this project, we want to honour this invisible yet powerful legacy: the strength of our ancestors and of those who inspire us, the resilience of pioneers, and the energy of those building tomorrow.
It is this collective strength and this axé that we want to share. While we highlight their struggles, everyone’s energy will bring this event to life.
From Dandara to Mãe Menininha, from Tia Ciata to Gal Costa, we celebrate those who have turned struggle into art.
On the programme:
Capoeira: professoras will lead workshops throughout the day for children and adults
Samba : dance workshop
Singing & Music Workshop: a workshop in music, percussion, and capoeira and samba singing
Papoeira & Talk: Spaces for discussion and reflection on an evolving practice
Concert: A festive evening to bring the community’s axé to life at the bar of La Belle Électrique !
