ONE CORD. A WHOLE JOURNEY.

A colour reflects a journey: time spent practising, understanding the game and the ability to pass it on.

Grey, green, yellow and blue cords prepared for the batizado

THE BATIZADO,
A CELEBRATION OF CONNECTION.

At their batizado, students officially join the group by playing with visiting masters and receive their first grey cord. More advanced students may receive a new cord.

Moving up a grade is neither a competition nor an automatic step. The teacher decides when the time is right, based on each student’s progress and experience.

The group’s colours are inspired by the Brazilian flag: green, yellow, blue and white.
